First, we work with kids that that need more intensive support to be successful behaviorally, academically, socially, and emotionally. We conduct an assessment of each child referred to our program, and only accept children who need this level of support. We are focusing on children in K5-1st who did not attend a preschool or school readiness program and are starting school with very little basic social skills, academic skills and group behavior skills. Each of our kids is monitored through our daily behavioral assessment system, has a behavior plan (if needed), has an individual  academic support plan with customized support strategies, and receives support from our staff, volunteers, and interns.
