FAQs > FAQs > What are the 3 main goals of YouthBASE?
Accessibility
To allow at-risk children with behavioral and academic difficulty to meaningfully and safely participate in after-school and summer programming, who may not otherwise be able to participate due to their behavior.
Behavioral, Academic, Social, & Emotional Growth
To help children build competency so that they may more effectively experience success at school, at home, and in the community. "Success," to us, means that children have the skills needed to achieve their goals.
Life Change
To affect long-term behavioral and academic change (reduce juvenile deliquency and adolescent/adult mental health problems, reduce gang involvement, increase high school/college graduation, etc.).
